Lady Cougars end regular season with scoreless tie at Pratt

Lady Cougars end regular season with scoreless tie at Pratt

There are days when the effort doesn't reflect the results.  Thursday in Pratt was one of those days as the Barton Community College women's soccer team ended the 2014 regular season in a scoreless tie with Pratt Community College.  The game marked the fourth extra time game this season for the Lady Cougars and for the second time ended in scoreless draw.  Not affecting the Lady Cougars' fifth seed for the upcoming Region VI playoffs, Barton moves to 5-4-2 in the Jayhawk and 8-6-3 overall.  Needing the win for the opportunity to get into the playoffs, Pratt will be on the outside looking in as the Beavers stand at 2-7-2 in conference and 3-9-2 overall.

Barton will now turn its attention for a run in the Region VI playoffs beginning Saturday at fourth seeded Allen County Community College.   The Lady Cougars came out on the short end of 2-0 decision to the Red Devils back on September 6 in Iola.
