"I am very excited about this incoming class of signees," said Head Coach Aaron Avila.  "This class has the potential to be one of the strongest Kansas freshman classes to come through our women's soccer program."

The eight signees join a future sophomore class that went 13-4-1 record this past season and a 11-1-1 mark in the Jayhawk Conference to finish tied for second in the conference.  In what will be Avila's third season at the helm, Avila was named Coach of the Year in his first season and has guided the Lady Cougars to 28-8-2 overall record in the past two seasons with a 21-3-2 mark in the Jayhawk Conference.  Avila has also brought Barton back into the national spotlight finishing No. 14 in the NSCAA national poll his first season and spent much of last season in the national polls finishing No. 16 in the NJCAA with a Region VI semifinal 1-0 loss.
