The Barton Community College wrestling squad competed in its final event before the Thanksgiving break with a trip to the University of Nebraska-Kearney Younes Hospitality Open.

Compiling a 6-20 record on the day, the Cougars received a handful of learning experiences in the amateur tournament which featured 513 wrestlers between NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NAIA and NJCAA teams, making for deep and talented brackets.

Freshman heavyweight Nathan Agudzi-Addo led Barton's 10 participants compiling a 3-2 record on the day. Agudzi-Addo responded after an opening round loss with three straight victories before having his day end in the fifth round of the consolation bracket.

The Cougars other victories on the day came from Jarret Mader (141), Ethan Boles (157), and Kaden Foster (165).

Barton will pick the action back up a week from Sunday (December 3rd) at the Bob Smith Open held at Fort Hays State University's Gross Memorial Coliseum before hosting the Cougar Open December 10th at the Great Bend High School PAC.
