The Barton Community College wrestling team advanced four into the round of 16 this past weekend at the Grandview Open held at Ignit Sports Complex in Grimes, Iowa.

Battling against a stout field featuring top four-year Division I, Division II, and NAIA programs, the 11-pack of Cougars constructed a combined 25-22 record on the day.

Leading Barton with 3-2 records on the afternoon was Avery Wolf (133), Eastin Redetzke (133), Kayden Blake (149), and Kaden Foster (165).

Posting 2-2 results over the day event were Ethan Boles (157) and Keenon Gonzales-Brown (174).

Barton will open dual play Wednesday in Parsons taking on a pair of ranked teams in host 15th ranked Labette Community College and 14th ranked Carl Albert State in the nightcap.
