The Barton Community College wrestling squad dropped its pair of duals Wednesday night in Parsons.

Taking on a pair of ranked teams to kickoff the dual season, the Cougars dropped a 50-3 result to host 15th ranked Labette Community College before falling to 14th ranked Carl Albert State College 41-11.

Eastin Redetzke posted the lone positive result against Labette with a 11-4 decision over Caydon Miller in the 133-weight class for his first collegiate dual victory.

In the nightcap, Barton got a pair of victories from Ethan Boles and Nathan Agudzi-Addo.

Boles scored his first collegiate dual win with a 20-4 technical fall over Cody Riddell in the 157-weight class before Agudzi-Addo bounced back in the nightcap to avenge his earlier 4:28 fall to Gabe Kent with his first mat flattener of the year needing just 1:20 to defeat Ryan Bashant-Honeycutt in the 285-weight calls.

Sitting at 0-2 in the early season, Barton will return to the mats Saturday for the UNK Yones Hospitality Open held in Kearney, NE with action slated to get underway at 9:00 a.m. inside the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.
