Barton women's bowling finishes 16th at ITC Sectional Qualifier #GoBarton

The Barton Community College women's bowling team wrapped up the 2023-24 season this past weekend with a 16th place finish at the Intercollegiate Team Championship Sectional Qualifier held at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth, TX.

Making the program's first ever appearance, the Cougars were the lone NJCAA program competing in the 16-team field which featured top NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NAIA programs.

Staying consistent over the weekend, Barton fabricated the 16th most 5,422 pins over Saturday's opening 32-baker blocks while remaining in 16th over Sunday's final 32-baker games tallying a second day 5,271 and 64-game final mark of 10,693.

Claiming the tournament title was Louisiana Tech University compiling 13,051, outlasting in-state powerhouse Wichita State University's 12,901 while Tulane University and Oklahoma Christian University tying for third place at 12,450 pins.
