Bridges seventh place finish highlights Barton Women's Bowling at NAIA West Regionals #GoBarton

Traveling to the eastern part of the state this weekend, the Barton Community College women's bowling team turned in a 12th place and seventh place finish at the NAIA West Regional I and II held at the Royal Crest Lanes in Lawrence, KS.

Battling against four-year programs, the Cougars opened the weekend with the 12th most 6,325 pins in the five team games and 12 baker games during Saturday's NAIA West Regional I. Returning for Sunday's NAIA West Regional II, Barton bettered its' finish leaping five spots higher posting the seventh highest 5,667 pin count over the seven individual games.

Claiming both team titles over the two separate events was Ottawa University compiling scores of 6,325 and 5,667.

Leading Barton in the 118-participant field was Jasmine Bridges seventh place finish tossing a five-game total 987. The freshman reached the 200-platoue a trio of times settling with an average 197.4 game and team highest single game 243 coming in the fifth.

Olivia Oliver notched the Cougars other top-30 finish with the 30th highest 910 pin accumulation. Oliver reached her highest single game in the opening round carding a 205 and posting the teams second highest score in three of the five tossed games.

The Cougars other lone five game roller was Jaden Rabe settling for a 52nd, 835.

Tossing a trio of games on Saturday, Allyson Heidenreich directed the Barton squad on Sunday tallying 1,088 in seven rolled games. Heidenreich secured the Cougars highest 10-frame round in the opener with a 211.

Finishing seven spots higher in Sunday's action, Rabe averaged the team's highest single game round of 175.8 over six games ending with a 45th finish and 1,055 pin accumulation.

Joining Heidenreich exceeding games of 200 were Oliver's 204 and Chailyn Scott's 208 settling for 52nd and 55th placings respectfully.

The Cougars will have a week off before heading to its final regular season meet of the season February 17th and 18th for the Redhawk Challenge held at the Maple Lanes in Waterloo, IA.
