Barton Women's Bowling concludes Ottawa Duel with four top-10 performances #GoBarton

Four top-10 performances carried the Barton Community College women's bowling team Thursday afternoon in its' dual at Ottawa University.

Rolling a trio of individual games, the Cougars "A" squad accumulated a 3rd place 2,616 total edging out the "B" entered Barton team's 2,155 output. As the event was served as a scrimmage for Ottawa, the home teams "B" five pack led the four-team field with a top score (2,910) pins to outduel the Braves "A" team's (2,705).

Allyson Heidenreich's 6th place finish of 585, highlighted a string of four straight Cougars' finishing inside the top-10. The sophomore directed 11 Cougars with back-to-back 200 round scores of 221, 220 before concluding with a third game total 144 in the 24-entry field.

Olivia Oliver shared honors with Heidenreich with the second-best single game score of 200. Oliver highlighted the "B" squad with a 7th best score 550 while Angelina Leeper's 532 pins, and Chailyn Scott's 515 total followed respectfully for 8th and 9th place performances.

The Cougars will have the weekend off before their next match comes closer to home next weekend at the tier-1 Mid-States Championships held in Wichita, KS that features perennial NCAA Division I, Division II and NAIA programs.
