Trevor Rolfs begins his first season leading the women’s basketball program, in addition to, entering his fifth year as the Athletic Director here at Barton Community College.  Rolfs returns to the sidelines having coached seven years in the Jayhawk Conference prior to accepting the Athletic Director position at Barton in 2011.

Coming to Barton from Pratt Community College, Rolfs led the Beavers to a 114-85 record in his seven seasons including winning a Region VI Championship and NJCAA National Tournament berth.  The region title was the first championship for the Beavers in sixteen years also earning Rolfs the 2005 Region VI Coach of the Year.

A 1993 Barton graduate, Rolfs played for the Cougars from 1991-1993 before transferring to Bethany College to finish out his athletic career.  Earning all-conference honors his final two years on the court, Rolfs was also an accomplished collegiate football player earning an all-conference selection his senior season.

A native of the area, Rolfs started his coaching career at his alma mater leading Quivira Heights High School to a 65-30 record over four seasons including a state tournament berth in 1999.  From there, Rolfs coached two seasons at nearby Lyons High School going 20-22 before finishing his high school coaching career at Mankato with a 14-8 record and Pike Trail League Coach of the Year honor.

Rolfs is married to the former Kimberly Strong of Abilene.  They have two children, Taylor, age 17, and Trey age 12.
