Strong second half carries 25th ranked Barton women to victory over Eastern Oklahoma State #GoBarton

The 25th ranked Barton Community College women's basketball team recovered from a 36-32 halftime deficit Saturday afternoon in Hutchinson earning a 78-64 victory over Eastern Oklahoma State College in the final day of BSN Sports Tipoff Classic.

Improving to 2-0, the Cougars will play host to the Best Western Angus Inn/Cougar Booster Club Basketball Classic with Redlands Community College on Friday followed by Saturday's game against Division-II Labette Community College. Both contests slated for 5:30 p.m. tipoffs inside the Barton Gym with both contests being live streamed on the Barton Sports Network found at www.BartonSports.com.

Tatum Boettjer led four Cougars in double-figures matching her career high recorded 24-hours prior with a game-high 16 points going 4-of-10 from beyond the arc and adding seven rebounds.

Vera Ojenuwa posted her second straight double-double adding 15 points and hauling down 11 boards in 25-minutes of action.

Sophomore Quezia Bertoni added 12 points draining 2-of-2 from long distance and sinking 4-of-4 from the charity stripe, while Macie Smith led Barton's bench production with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting.

Grace John led Barton's 25 distributions with a program second most 14 assists in 38-minutes to go along with six points and six rebounds.

Barton shot 46.8% on the afternoon, cashing in on 8-of-18 from long distance and converting 70.6% from the charity stripe.

Eastern Oklahoma State went 34.2% from the field with a 27.6% from outside and finishing a cool 2-of-10 from the free throw line.
