Taylor Regan of the Barton Community College women's basketball team has been named the KJCCC Kansas MTXE Women's Division I Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts in week nine of the 2017 season.

The Otis-Bison High School graduate had a monster week on the boards in not only hitting the Barton record book once, but twice, while averaging a double-double in the Lady Cougars' pair of games. Recording a program third best sixteen defensive rebounds Wednesday night at Colby, the Albert freshman grabbed another fifteen on the defensive glass this past Saturday for a combined thirty-seven rebounds in the two games as the single game totals rank in the school's top ten list . Also scoring in double-digits both games with eleven and thirteen respectively, Regan posted her second and third double-double of the season to go along with five blocks in the pair of contests. For the year Regan ranks third in the Jayhawk at 9.4 rebounds per game and second at 1.2 rejections.

Regan's award is the second for the Lady Cougars this season as fellow freshman Jaylin Stapleton was honored in week one of the season.

The Lady Cougars are in the midst of a two-game road stretch, most recently taking a loss at Butler Community College slipping to 9-7 in conference play and 12-8. Barton will next travel to Liberal on Saturday for a 6:00 p.m. tip at second place and No. 12 ranked Seward County Community College (13-2, 17-2).
