The Barton Community College women's basketball team made the long trip to Chanute on Monday pulling away for a 78-52 victory at Neosho County Community College.  Erasing an early four point deficit with a 9-2 spurt, the Lady Cougars never looked back in pulling away for the twenty-six point victory to keep their series unbeaten streak against the Lady Panthers unblemished at 19-0.  The victory improved the Lady Cougars to 6-7 in conference play and 9-8 on the year while dropping Neosho to 3-10 and 6-11 overall.  Barton will return to the court in two days as the Lady Cougars host Colby Community College in a 5:30 p.m. tip-off Wednesday at the Barton Gym.

Having just one player reach double figures in their previous outing versus Coffeyville, the Lady Cougars put five in the double digit scoring column led by the eighteen points from Baylee Robinson on 8-of-10 shooting.  Continuing her hot shooting from beyond the arc, Katrina Roenfeldt canned 5-of-8 long distance shots giving her nine in the past two games.  Roenfeldt also led the team with three steals and hauled down eight rebounds helping Barton to a 37-32 edge on the glass.  Leading the Lady Cougars off the bench, Jalisa Jones had one of her better outings of the season scoring fourteen on 50% shooting from the field combining with Micaela Jellison's eleven points and eight rebounds giving Barton a twenty-one point advantage from reserve players.  Megan Jirak rounded out the double digit scorers with ten while just missing a double-double performance with a team high nine rebounds and four assists.

Brooke Neal dished out five assists joining Jhanai Felix leading the Lady Panthers with ten points each while Ki'Asha Harris finished with nine points and a team high eight rebounds.
