Lady Cougars double up for sixth straight victory

Friday night at the Barton Gym wasn't repeat record setting performance of two days prior but it was another dominating performance by the Barton Community College women's basketball team in doubling up the junior varsity squad of Bethany College 94-46.  The Lady Cougars broke open a tight start to the game closing the last minute and a half of the first quarter on a 12-0 run then put it away with a 24-6 third quarter going on to win its sixth straight.   Improving to 7-2 on the season, Barton will have a week off from competition before hosting the Best Western Booster Club Classic Thanksgiving Classic on November 27-28.  

Three Lady Cougars led five double-digit scores as each of the eleven players contributed to the scoring column.  Alexus Bryson and Tyanna Warren each dropped thirteen as did Jalisa Jones with her thirteen and team leading ten rebounds for her second double-double of the season.  Katrina Roenfeldt and Megan Jirak contributed eleven and ten respectively with Regan Unruh dishing out a career high eight assists while Dominique Baker led the defense with a career high seven steals.  

Zoe Levesque and Emilie Imsdahl led the Lady Swedes with eleven points each with Ashley Rasmussen dishing a team high five assists while 5'3" Tehya Peters led the Bethany rebounding with seven.
