Lady Cougars earn second conference victory with 69-53 defeat of Colby

Tied at eleven with eleven to play, the Lady Cougars busted the game open with a 17-1 run in the next five minutes. Colby countered with a 10-0 run to cut the lead back to six but an Erin Copeland long range bomb pushed the back to nine with Barton eventually holding a 35-24 halftime advantage.

Colby cut the deficit to three just four minutes into the second half but a 12-1 Barton run in the next six minutes gave the Lady Cougars the separation it needed.

Sophomore Erin Copeland put up a career high eighteen points while dishing out seven assists and four steals. Freshman Ashton Bruner recorded her third double-double of the season with fourteen points and eleven rebounds while also leading the team with five steals. Coming off the bench Blair Bloomfield also had a solid night scoring twelve points and collecting seven rebounds.

Kytiana Seals led three Colby players in double-digits by scoring eighteen while Agnese Aramina and Linda Pagrode contributed fifteen and twelve points respectively.
