Second time not the charm for Lady Cougars in home loss to Hutchinson

The forty-point margin was the largest in the series since Barton defeated the Lady Dragons by thirty-nine in 1986 and eclipsed the highest combined score surpassing the 1981 meeting when Barton won 85-76. The game also marked the first time in the series history either team surpassed the century mark and the most scored since Barton put up ninety-six back in 1992 and 1983. Hutchinson has now won eight straight against the Lady Cougars with Barton holding the most consecutive at fourteen set in the 1988-94 seasons.

Barton's seven game losing streak also surpasses the longest in school history which has been set three times, the latest coming in the 2003-04 season.

Erin Copeland's twenty points tied her career high for the second straight game and eleventh consecutive game she has reached double-figures. Blair Bloomfield scored thirteen points to reach double figures for the seventh time in the past eight games.

Jen'Von'Ta Hill scored a career high twenty-six to lead three Lady Dragons in double-digit scoring with four others scoring seven or more points. Aja Sorrells added fifteen while leading Hutchinson with six rebounds and Jasmine Patterson scored fourteen.
