Cold first half shooting dooms Barton women in loss to Butler

Erin Copeland led the Lady Cougars with fourteen points and four assists, her second straight game in double-figures as the sophomore is averaging ten points per game in conference play. Ta'Kerra Williams' twelve points was the only other Lady Cougar in double figures and led the teal with three blocks and three steals. Ashton Bruner put up double digits in rebounding to lead all players with eleven.

Ashlee Ivy's fifteen points led a balanced Butler attack as four Lady Grizzlies scored in double-digits. Joining Ivy were Shayla Williams, Jamillah Bonner, and Tysia Manual as each finished with ten apiece. Manuel grabbed seven rounds to lead Butler while she and Ivy tied for the team lead with five steals. Carly Bettancourt led all players with seven assists while also scoring nine points on seven-of-eight shooting from the free throw line.
