Barton cruises to 101-36 win over Pratt to open West play; 3-point mark falls again
The Barton County Community College women's basketball team has reached a double-digit winning streak for the 2nd straight year, posting its 10th straight win Wednesday night, rolling to a 101-36 win over Pratt to open Jayhawk West play at the Barton County Gym. The Cougars knocked down 16 3-pointers to set that record for the 3rd time this season. Barton is now 13-2 overall and 1-0 in the West. The Beavers fall to 2-13 overall and 0-1 in the West. Barton will have its 1st West road test this weekend when they travel to Dodge City to take on the Conquistadors.

Highlights
The onslaught started from the opening tip at Barton scored the games 1st 31 points in building a 31-0 lead 8 minutes into the game. It wasn't until the 11:12 mark of the opening half Pratt finally got on the scoreboard. Barton led by as many as 43 points in the opening half, hitting 11-of-15 3-pointers in the process.

By game's end, Barton had knocked down 16-of-31 3-point attempts to break the old mark of 14 the team set earlier this year at the ShootOut against Highland. It is the 3rd time this year Barton set the mark, which was 12 to start the season.

LaToya Jackson led the Cougars with 16 points, hitting 4-of-6 3's. She was one of 6 Cougars to reach double figures. All 9 Barton players that suited up hit a 3-pointer during the win. DePrice Taylor added 15 points, while Ipek Turkylimaz and Tiffany Haggen each added 14. Inga Mucinience grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to go with 11 points for her 4th double-double of the season. Taylor also had 7 assists. Every Cougar played double figures minutes in the win.
