Highlights
Barton's defense and bench play sparked the win for the Cougars as Butler hit just 32 percent from the floor and were outscored 30-2 in bench points. Butler, which only suited up 8 players, saw the Cougars depth pay dividend for Barton during the 2nd half.

Barton took a 30-22 lead to halftime. The Cougars took a 13-11 lead on Butler at the 13:11 mark when Mayowa Onikute hit a bucket and Barton would not trail the rest of the way. The 8 point lead was the biggest of the game for Barton as Butler quickly came back in the opening stages of the 2nd half to tie the contest at 36-all.

Ashley Glen provided the spark in a 6-1 run by scoring a layup on a pass from Vivian Ewalefo to a 38-36 lead then made it 40-36 with another bucket on a pass from Ewalefo. Glen capped the 6-1 with a put-back with 13:35 to play. The Grizzlies got to within a point once more at 42-41 but a 10-4 run gave the Cougars a 52-45 lead with 4:20 to play. The closest Butler would get the rest of the way would be 4 points.

Glen paced the Cougars attack with a career-high 13 points off the bench in front of family and friends just 30 minutes from her hometown of Wichita. Vivian Ewalefo put up her 5th double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 boards for the Cougars
