Highlights
Barton led nearly the entire game, jumping out to a 9-4 lead behind a stingy defense 8 minutes into the contest. The Cougars would never trail the rest of the way. Barton pushed the lead to 10 points during the first half before settling for a 32-24 halftime lead.

The Cougars bolted out in the 2nd half, putting together an 8-3 run to take a 40-28 lead on the Beavers following a Briana Harris bucket on a feed from Natalie Arndt less than 3 minutes into the half. That is when the Beavers made their only true threat on the 2nd half. Pratt went on a 9-0 run to cut the Barton lead to 40-37 with 15 minutes to play.

Pratt had a couple of opportunities to cut that lead even more, including a 3-point attempt to tie the game. The Cougars ended the run when Harris hit 2 free throws at the 13:26 mark. That sparked a 12-0 run by the Cougars that gave them a 15-point cushion at 52-37 with just more than 9 minutes to play. Tarryn Montgomery was instrumental in the run with 6 points, 4 rebounds and a blocked shot. A Carly Bloomfield 3-pointer with just less than 7 minutes to play pushed the Cougar lead to 61-41. The Beavers never got within single digits the rest of the way.

Bloomfield led 3 Cougars in double figures with 18 points followed by Montgomery with 16 points and 7 assists. Rebecca Chapman, like Montgomery, came off the bench and contributed 12 for Barton as the Cougars outscored the Beaver bench 28-13 on the night. Arndt once again flirted with a triple double for Barton from her point guard spot, collecting 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Tina Wilson hit 3 treys for Pratt and ended with 18 points to pace the Beavers.
