Barton women stumble against Colby
The Barton County Community College women's basketball team couldn't get over the hump Monday night, losing at home the Colby Trojans by a 54-44 margin.

The Cougars are now 1-3 in the West and 8-10 overall. Colby is 2-2 and 10-8.

Highlights
Colby jumped out to an 11-0 lead on the Cougars, but Barton County wouldn't quit. The Cougars continued to battle back time and time again, but couldn't never make up that 11-point hole they dug themselves early.

On a couple of occasions in the second half, the Cougars trimmed the lead to a low as 2, but that would be as close as Barton got in the contest.

The Cougars were led by Christa Wilson, who came off the bench to score 12 points. Colby was led by Bojana Smardiziska with 21.
