No. 12 Seward knocks off Barton women
The Barton County Community College women's basketball team lost another contest to a nationally ranked opponent, falling 81-58 Saturday to Seward County at the Barton County Gym.

With the loss, Barton falls to 9-14 overall and 2-7 in the Jayhawk West. Seward County is now 21-2 and 7-2.

Highlights
The Cougars hung with Saints for much of the first half before Seward County pulled out to a 42-26 halftime lead. The Cougars were able to trim the margin to 12 at one point in the second half, but the Saints, who hit 27-of-34 free throws, proved to be too much for the Cougars.

Barton County was led by Natalie Arndt, who scored a career-high 17 points. Christa Wilson added 11. Seward County, ranked No. 12, was led by Cassie Cordell with 27 and Kirby Wilson with 25.
