Highlights
In what started off as a slow scoring game, the Cougars never trailed. Barton took the lead for good when Heather Nittler got a steal and a layup with 10:32 to play in the first half for a 9-7 Barton lead. That basket set off a 12-5 run for the Cougars over the next six minutes to give Barton County a 19-12 lead. The Cougars continued the first half onslaught, capping the half off with a 7-1 run for a 28-16 halftime advantage.

The Cougars quickly pushed that lead to 19 points on a Michelle Deighton layup from Briana Harris for a 36-17 advantage less than two minutes into the second half. The lead eventually got to 20 points at 40-20 before the Beavers made a run. Pratt cut the lead to 44-36 with 10 minutes to play, but that was as close as Pratt would get until the final minute of the game.

All 10 Cougars that played in the game, scored in the game, led by Akia Harmon with 9 points and 11 rebounds. Harmon also added 4 assists. Natalie Arndt and Harris each added 8 points while Deighton grabbed 9 rebounds.

The win puts the Cougars two games ahead of Pratt and one ahead of Butler in the West standings. That puts Barton in 7th place with the top eight making the playoffs.
