Shooting woes continue to plaque Cougars
The Barton County Community College women's basketball team continued to struggle shooting from the field as the Cougars lost a 57-25 decision to Hutchinson on the road Wednesday night in Jayhawk West play.

With the loss, the Cougars are now 1-5 in the Jayhawk West and 8-12 overall. Hutchinson, ranked No. 25, is now 5-1 in the West and 16-4 overall.

Highlights
Hutch took a 30-14 lead into halftime but Barton made a quick run at the Blue Dragons, cutting the lead to 30-19 with a quick 5-0 run after the intermission. But that would be as close as the Cougars would get.

Barton hit just 6-of-50 shots from the floor in scoring the lowest point total in school history. Heather Nittler scored 5 points to lead the Cougars and Briana Harris snagged 10 rebounds.
