Cougar women picked to finish 2nd

            The Barton County Community College women's basketball team is picked to finish second in the Jayhawk West, according to the league's coaches.

            The coaches' poll was released Monday at the annual Jayhawk Conference basketball press conference in Wichita.

            The Cougars were picked second behind two-time defending champion Seward County. The Saints were a unanimous selection. Defending National Champion Cloud County was picked to finish third.

            In the East, Coffeyville was the coaches' pick to win the conference, followed by Cowley County and Fort Scott.
