Eight Cougar entries entered day three of the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships with two surviving as the 6th ranked Barton Community College men's tennis team sits in fourth place of the team standings.

As Barton's top three singles entries went down in the 8:00 a.m. Quarterfinals, No. 4 flight Barnabas Kalaba marched on to the National Semifinals as the 3^rd seed defeated 6^th seeded Maxime Guyon (Pratt) 6-1, 6-0. Next up will be an 8:00 a.m. Thursday tangle with 2^nd seeded Gaston Erhardt (Cowley) to earn the right into Friday's championship match.

In the afternoon session, Kalaba joined No. 2 flight doubles partner James Kaoma in defeating 6^th seeded Adrien Gulbert and Djordje Kurcubic (Collin College) 6-2, 7-6(1). The 3^rd seeded duo will take on 2^nd seeded Diego Dalisay and Tim Riedel (Tyler JC) in National Semifinals at 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
