Barton men's bowling places 9th at NJCAA Championships #GoBarton

The Barton Community College men's bowling team wrapped up the season on Saturday settling for a 9th place finish at the NJCAA National Championships held at the Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Michigan.

Finishing inside the top-10 for the fifth straight year, the Cougars compressed a two-day total 11,996 accumulation over three singles, three doubles, six team and three baker blocks.

Running away with the team title was Rock Valley College with a pin count 13,025 while Iowa Western Community College finished runner-up with 12,569 pins and Iowa Central Community College falling 26 pins back in third with 12,543.

Logan Lindsley and Cole Brown led Barton's individual placings both securing top-20 performances in the 149-competitor field.

Lindley guided the Cougars squad finishing three spots outside All-America status with the 13th highest pin accumulation of 2,203. The freshman highlighted Saturday's singles action, producing the 29th best three game pin accumulation of 554.

Finishing 19th overall with a 12-game 2,164, Brown and teammate Chris O'Connor directed the doubles portion for the Cougars as the duo mended the 12th best 1,112 pin count with Brown's 618 showing the way.
