Boswell's All-Tournament team fuels Barton Men's Bowling in NAIA West Regionals #GoBarton

Braden Boswell produced an all-tournament team finish as the Barton Community College men's bowling team mended a pair of top-15 finishes this past weekend at the NAIA West Regional I and II held at the Royal Crest Lanes in Lawrence, KS.

Participating as the lone two-year program in the field of 18 teams, the Cougars began the weekend earning a 14th finish of 6,588 pins over five team and 12 baker games in Saturday's NAIA West Regional I. Competing 12-hours later in the West Regional II, Barton improved their finish in the seven team games securing an 8th place finish of 6,136 pins.

Claiming both teams' crowns was Hastings College assembling top marks of 7,558 and 6,571 outlasting Midland University's runner-up tallies of 7,467 and 6,543.

NAIA West Regional I
Utilizing an eight-man lineup, Logan Lindsley fueled the Cougars individually with a 34th placing in the 155-man field calculating 971 pins in five rolled games. Surpassing 200 in three of four games, Lindsley assembled games of 221, 232, 154, 227 and 137 averaging a team best 194.2 per-10 frames.

Producing the 46th best pin accumulation of 942, Carter Lambeth manufactured Barton's top individual game destroying 236 pins in his fifth game.

Falling six pins off the team's top individual score, Torrey Lindsay fell four spots back of Lamberth with a 50th best pin mark of 930.

Tossing just two games on Saturday, Boswell delivered in a vital way rolling a fifth best 1,368 to claim All-Tournament team honors after Head Coach Mike Perry mixed up the lineup. Averaging a team best 195.4 per-10 frames, Boswell produced a team top and tournament second best single game 268 game in the opener of his seven tossed rounds.

Making the biggest leap between the two events was Cale McConnell finishing 92 spots higher securing a 62nd result of 1,099 pins in six bowled games.

The Cougars will have a week off before heading to its final regular season meet of the season February 17th and 18th for the Redhawk Challenge held at the Maple Lanes in Waterloo, IA.
