Brian Hancock
Title: Assistant Basketball Coach

Brian Hancock enters his 1st season as an assistant coach for the Barton County Cougars men’s basketball team. Hancock will be the top assistant for Barton this season under the direction of new head coach Dave Campbell.

Brian Hancock spent the previous five seasons as the College of Southern Idaho assistant men’s basketball coach. He joined the Golden Eagle staff after spending the 1997-98 season as an administrative assistant to Kevin Eastman at Washington State University. During the 1996-97 season, Hancock served as an assistant coach at the University of Idaho for Kermit Davis. 

Prior to his stint with those two major universities, Hancock worked as an assistant coach at North Idaho College. He worked under Rolly Williams from 1991-96. 

In 1991, Hancock received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Idaho. He completed his master’s degree in recreation from the University of Idaho in 1998. Hancock is a native of the Coeur d’Alene.

This is Hancock’s 13th year in the coaching industry of which 10 have been spent at the Community College level.
