19th ranked Cougars' nearly lead wire-to-wire in route over North Idaho College #GoBarton

The 19th ranked Barton Community College men's basketball team led for all but 1:32 Saturday afternoon in Hutchinson cruising to its' second double-digit route in as many days with a 97-66 victory over North Idaho College in the second day of the BSN Sports Tipoff Classic held at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

Now 2-0 on the young season, the Cougars will have the next three games on their home court beginning Monday against the junior varsity squad of McPherson College before hosting the Best Western Angus Inn/Cougar Booster Club Classic beginning Friday against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa followed by Saturday's game versus Northern Oklahoma College-Enid. Ring Malith led a four pack of Cougars reaching double-figures dropping 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting while hauling in four rebounds.

Brent Moss led Barton's 46-24 bench production recording his second double-double of the year with 12 points and 1- rebounds in 20-minutes of action.

Lajae Jones and Keandre Kindell concluded the double figure scoring each adding 12-points apiece.

Reigning defensive player of the year, Cooper Jackson pick pocketed four Cardinals to lead Barton's 13-7 steals advantage while Mozae Downing-Rivers led the distribution dishing out five of the 16 assists.
