Barton men snaps slide with Friday afternoon victory hosting Colby #GoBarton

The Barton Community College men's basketball team snapped a two-game slide with a 77-72 win over Colby Community College Friday afternoon at the Barton Gym.

Barton improves to 8-7 in conference and 9-7 overall with Colby slipping to 4-5 in both conference and overall.

The Cougars and Trojans will meet up again this Sunday, switching locations to the Colby Community Building for a 4:00 p.m. tip.

Jaheim Holden all players with a 27 point afternoon, draining 5-of-10 behind the arc and dishing out four assists. Helping the Cougars shoot 56.5% from deep, Asanti Price buried 5-of-7 from long range for 19 points with Willie Lapoole coming off the bench connecting on three of his deep shots for 19 points and team leading six rebounds. Joe Jones tied Holden for the team high four assist and scored six points helping Barton to a plus-11 points from the reserves.

Four Trojans reached double-figures led by Tyrone Marshall's 21 points. Jayrese Williams added 15 points, Rasheet Wilson with 12 points, and 14 points coming from Domonic Harvey.
