Cougars' sixty-three first half points sets tone in forty-point win heading to conference play #GoBarton

The Barton Community College men's basketball team put up sixty-three points in first half action Wednesday night at the Barton Gym to post their fifth triple figure output to blow past the junior varsity squad of Sterling College 109-69.

The Cougars improve to 9-0 on the season heading to Saturday's 7:30 p.m. Jayhawk Conference opener at Cowley College while Sterling falls to 5-7 on the year.

Five Cougars reached double-figures with John Williams coming off the bench leading the way with a game high twenty points. Leondre Washington dished out five dimes with sixteen points as Diovonte Caldwell's perfect three shots behind the arc in first half action led to an eventual fifteen points. Mavrick Gildyard added thirteen as Eric Amandio's fourteen minutes of work produced eleven points and four assists with a team high eight rebounds.

The Warriors had a balanced distribution of scoring as Reese Holder and Ezekiel Lacey led the team with nine points each. Darius Stewart hauled down a game high eleven rebounds in being joined by Alex Barton and Nate Heneha in contributing eight points each.
