The Barton Community College men's basketball team reached triple figures in consecutive nights in wearing down Spring Creek Academy 127-68 concluding the 2018 Best Western Cougar Booster Club Classic Saturday night at the Barton Gym.

No 4-0 on the early season, Barton connected on 63% (24-38) of their first half shots to lead by twenty-five but got even hotter in the final frame making 24-of-31 shots including 7-of-9 from long range for 77.4% shooting. Concluding the game at 69.6%, the thirteen Cougars that hit floor performances eclipsed the previous program record of 67.2% set in November of the 2007-08 season.

Throwing down a trio of consecutive high percentage shots as Barton pulled further away in second half play, Akeem White added 16 points while sharing high rebound honors of eight with fellow sophomore Elijah Ford who led the team with four steals to go along with 14 points.

Mavrick Gildyard's thirteen off the bench led three others in double figures as Leondre Washington, Dallas Bryson, and Diovonte Caldwell each added eleven. Washington dished out seven of Barton's twenty-two assists as Tyrell Andrews and Caldwell were close behind with six and five dimes respectively.

The Spartans' Tyrus Ben Johnson again led Spring Creek in scoring for the second consecutive trip to the Barton Gym knocking down 4-of-7 from behind the arc for 24 points. William Mfum contributed twelve, Donald Ray Garrett II with ten, and Elijah Bishop rounding out the double digit scorers with a double-double effort of ten points and eleven rebounds.
