The Barton Community College men's basketball team lit up second half play from long range for a thirty-two point victory Wednesday night at the Barton Gym 110-78 over Sterling College's junior varsity squad. Connecting on just two long range shots in an eighteen point halftime margin, the Cougars dropped ten beyond the arc in the final twenty minutes in finishing with over ten three-pointers for the fourth straight game. Dropping Sterling to 2-3 on the year, Barton improves to 4-0 and turn its attention to the rugged Jayhawk Conference schedule opening up the slate with a Saturday 7:30 p.m. tip-off in hosting 3-0 Colby Community College.

Scoring fifteen of his team high twenty-two points in first half action, Akeem White led four Cougars in double-digit scoring going 10-of-13 from the field while also grabbing eight rebounds and recording four steals. Kawanise Wilkins' 9-of-13 effort led to twenty-one points with the Chicago freshman posting his first collegiate double-double in grabbing ten boards. Sam Lorenzen added sixteen including a 4-of-6 second half long range shooting display. Point guard Keshon Montague had another solid all-around game scoring ten points and distributing a team high seven assist to go along with six rebounds. Elijah Ford flirted again to get his first collegiate double-double, coming up a point shy in finishing with nine points but grabbed a team high eleven rebounds to lead a twenty-six Cougar advantage on the glass.

Keith Price led two Sterling players in double digits putting up a game high twenty-five points in part to knocking down 5-of-10 from long range. Sean Nordberg added thirteen in his double-double night snaring a game high twelve rebounds to go along with leading the Warriors with four assists.
