From Brazil, JP averaged 15 points per game, 2 assists, and 7 boards per game playing for Western Nebraska Community College. He shot 62 percent from the field and 65 percent from the charity stripe. Batista helped his team become Region IX Champions in 2003. Bastista earned State Payer of the Year honors in 2001.
