Freshman Season

Played in all 38 games, starting 28 times, last season for the Cougars. Shot 40.1 percent from the field and recorded 71 steals. Averaged 6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Was an intricate part in the Cougars Region VI Championship run last season. Help lead Barton to a 7th place finish in the 2001 NJCAA national tournament. Hit the game winning shot at the buzzer to beat Northwest Mississippi to secure the 7th place finish. Redshirted in 1999 and is being touted as one of the top recruits in the country by various scouting services. 

High School

Carter started for one year for Horace Mann High School. Averaged 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists as a senior. Played AAU for the Spiece Gym Rats, a team composed of the best players in Indiana. Played summer-league basketball for the G-Rebs.
