2023 brings in changes for the Barton Athletic Department as Kelsey (Brummer) Feist takes over as Head Athletic Trainer, replacing Ken "Doc" Henderson who retired in December of 2022.

In her fourth year at Barton, Kelsey served as Assistant Athletic Trainer before earning her move into the head position.

A native of Hoisington, Kansas, Kelsey graduated Cum Laude in May of 2019 from Wichita State University, earning a Bachelor of Art degree in Athletic Training. 

Kelsey completed the NATA’s Board of Certification requirements in April of 2019 and the requirements for Kansas State Licensure in August of 2019.

While at Wichita State, Kelsey was member of Delta Gamma Sorority, volunteered at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and was part of the Athletic Training Student Association with completed clinical rotations in women’s basketball and baseball at Wichita State, along with high school coverage at Bishop Carroll and Wichita North high schools.
