Volleyball players Hanna Miller and Isabella Guedes have been named the week 11 "Barton Sports Weekly Athletic Award Honors" sponsored by Great Bend's Identifications Company.

The duo helped the Cougars conclude the regular season with consecutive victories in grabbing the second spot of the conference standings for the third consecutive season.

Miller earned her second weekly defensive conference honor after averaging 7.85 digs per set during the week.  The week's performances moved Miller into the 4th best single season dig total and continued solidifying her 3rd place standing on the program's all-time career dig chart.

The versatile Isabella Guedes made the adjustment after Barton's switching from a 6-2 to a 5-1 attack in their two matches to earn her third conference setter of the week this season. Recording a double-double 32 assists and 10 digs with 3 aces at Pratt on Monday, Guedes refocused in a mid-set change at Hutchinson to the 5-1 leading Barton to a 3-1 victory.  In that match Guedes put up 41 assists, had an assisted block, two kills, an ace, and grabbed 12 digs for her fourth straight and 13th double-double of the year.

The department award is the third straight award for Miller and the second of the season for Guedes.
