Tabitha Kim, who led Barton in the season's opening race Colby, finished in 104th place taking over two minutes off her previous best to stop the clock at 23:26. Kaycee Niermeier finished in 146th place, nearing her best time crossing the finish line at 27:45.
The Lady Cougars will next compete at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, at the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open held at the Sand Plum Nature Trail just outside of Victoria, Kansas.
