Barton Volleyball's Nunnery joins 1000-dig club #GoBarton

Barton volleyball's Tasiah Nunnery enters 1000-dig club ranking 5th all-time in program history

Tasiah Nunnery of the Barton Community College volleyball team joined a prestigious club in program history Wednesday in becoming just the fifth Cougar to eclipse the 1000 career dig achievement.

The sophomore from Hays, Kansas, recorded twelve digs this past Wednesday at Dodge City bringing her career total to 1006. The achievement joins four others and draws within eight of surpassing two-time All-America award winner Mylena Testoni for the fourth spot.

Nunnery, who averages 3.51 digs per set, also joins teammate Hanna Miller on the chart as Miller continues to rise the bar higher each match of her career leading 1599.

In addition to her dig accumulation, Nunnery's 707 kills has also moved into the 14th all-time slot and is within 56 of the top ten list while also serving up 96 aces to rank 16th all-time and two away from gaining a spot on the list and just thirteen shy of another top ten career achievement.

Having her three match double-double streak snapped at Dodge City, Nunnery still led the Cougars with nine kills to go along with the twelve digs plus added three service aces and two blocks leading to a team leading 13.5 points in the match.

Now 3-6 in conference action and 14-6 overall, Nunnery and the Cougars return home for the next two matches starting with Saturday's 6:30 p.m. hosting of 15th ranked Seward County Community College followed by Wednesday welcoming in Cloud County Community College. Both matches begin at 6:30 p.m. with free admission for attendees and live streaming at BartonSports.com for those unable to attend.
