Barton women's golf player Yu Wei Chiang and Rin Sato of the women's soccer team have been named the week 4 "Barton Sports Weekly Athletics Award Honors" sponsored by Great Bend's Indentifications.

Yu Wei Chiang nearly made it consective individual titles falling just two shots back with an 8-over 152 this past week at the Central Kansas Classic. Firing off rounds of 74 and 78, Chiang led the four pack of Cougars to their second team title of the season piling up a 50-stroke win over the seven fielded teams.

The Cougars will have a couple weeks off before the Lady Tiger Classic held September 26th and 27th held at the Hays Smoky Hill County Club.

Rin Sato placed her name at the top of the program record book accountaing for over half of Barton's goals in the 2-0 week. The freshman midfielder, began her week dishing out four assists in the opening half at Dodge City, before tacking on another in the second half of Barton's 9-1 route, tying two others for the most assists in a Cougar single game. Sato continued her production on Saturday connecting for her third goal of the year capping her seven point week in Barton's 4-1 win over Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Sato and the Cougars will will take on its stiffest test of the early conference season on Saturday hosting 12th ranked Cowley College in a 3:00 p.m. kickoff before heading to Chanute on Saturday.
