Pratt scored its lone run in the second inning but the Cougars quickly struck back in the top of the third as Darian Hudson scored on a Jordan Haney RBI single.
The Cougars capitalized on a Pratt passed ball in the fourth inning as Emilia Davies raced home from third base giving Barton a 2-1 lead.
Barton held the slim one run lead into the sixth when freshman Morgan Rohrbouck connected on her sixth homerun of the season. The Cougars added an insurance run in the top of the seventh courtesy of another Pratt error to lead 4-1.
Haney, who went the distance for the Cougars, picked up her third win of the season to improve to 3-6.
