Cougar softball blasts three home runs in 10-2 win over Dodge

The Cougars scored three in the first inning with two-outs behind Emilia Davies single and Darby Grizzard two RBI double.

After Dodge City scored one in the home half of the second, the Cougars went long ball to balloon the lead to six. Morgan Rohrbouck and Davies went back-to-back then Shelby Plank delivered a two-run shot to score Grizzard to give Barton a 7-1 lead after the third.

Dodge added one in the fourth to cut the lead to five where it would stand until the seventh inning. Rohrbouck, a freshman from Loveland, Colorado, connected on her second homerun of the game scoring Great Bend native Jordan Haney. Plank completed the Barton scoring driving home Grizzard on an RBI double.

Alex Dunlavy picked up the win for Barton improving to 4-0 on the season in five appearances.
