Cougars squander five-run lead in loss to Pratt

The Cougars held a 5-0 lead through five innings of play with all five runs coming in two-out situations. Conference player of the week Morgan Rohrbouck got the Cougars started with her third homerun of the season scoring Caitlyn Larson in the bottom of the first giving the Cougars an early 2-0 lead. Scoreless into the fourth, freshman Darian Hudson delivered a two-out RBI double scoring Taylor Chrisco to increase Barton's lead to three. Barton's final runs came out off the bat of Great Bend native Jordan Haney as she laced a two-out double down the left field line scoring Darby Grizzard and Rohrbouck.

Pratt scored all seven or their runs in the sixth inning getting five hits aided by the disastrous defensive play by the Cougars. In the half inning the Cougar fielders committed three errors and two passed balls while the combination of three pitchers threw three wild pitches.
