16th ranked Barton men's soccer rallies for overtime win at Neosho County #GoBarton

Ten minutes into Saturday's contest in Chanute the 16th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team trailed by two but the Cougars stayed the course netting a pair of second half goals before getting an overtime winner for a 3-2 victory at nationally receiving votes Neosho County Community College.

Barton keeps pace for the West division chase improving to 4-1 and 9-2 on the season while Neosho County slips to 1-1 in league and 5-2 on the season.

Next for the Cougars is a Saturday 1:00 p.m. kick at Cougar Field against East leader Johnson County Community College.

The Panthers dug Barton an early deficit netting the initial goal less than five minutes into the contest before tacking on another before ten minutes had clicked off the clock.

Barton turned the tide eight minutes into the second frame as Calixtro Gutierrez finished off Augusto Militao's cross to cut the deficit.

Down to the final fourteen minutes, the Cougars netted the tying goal as Lucas Constante rattled the nets from Diego Veit's corner kick.

The Cougars converted another Veit corner kick 2:29 into the first overtime with the Cougars' leading scorer Tajay Grant capping the comeback with his 9th goal of the season.
