Playing its second game in as many days at the Cougar Soccer Complex, the Barton Community College men's soccer team picked up another three goal shutout win by defeating Lamar Community College.

The 2-0 Cougars next head to Council Bluffs, Iowa, for their first road trip of the season, taking on Indian Hills Community College at 3:30 p.m. Friday before facing former Barton skipper Mike Brown's top ranked Iowa Western Community College squad at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

Barton's first goal came thirteen minutes into the contest. Vinizzio Bortolotti sent deep cross field pass to Francesco Boher in the far corner who settled and fired a 15-yard laser to the upper-90 far post.

Samuel Joerg doubled up the lead nineteen minutes into second half action as Vinizzio Bortolotti's through ball deflected off Lucas Constante' foot leaving the uncleared ball to be hammered past the Lopes' goalkeeper Izaias Espionoza.

Dominating the first-year start-up program all game, Barton put an insurance tally on the board with seven minutes remaining.

Baptiste Susini began the Cougars' final goal of the afternoon, winning the scrum near midfield before sending a forward pass upfield as Alexander Escobedo-Dominguez chased it down then sent a cross to Yuki Minari to rattle the net near post.

Overall the Cougars launched 26 shots on the afternoon, ten coming on frame, while the Lopes put four in the air as Victor Goscinski kept the net clean with three saves.
