The Barton Community College men's basketball snapped two-game slide Saturday afternoon in Ottumwa, Iowa, rallying from a halftime deficit to win 91-86 over Marshalltown Community College to wrap up play in the Bowling RV Classic.  Having not lost three in a row since the 2010-11 season, Barton erased a 40-36 halftime deficit early in second half action then sunk ten free throws in the closing minute to hold on to the victory.  Barton improves to 7-3 on the season while dropping Marshalltown to 3-4.  The Cougars will return to the friendly confines of the Barton Gym for three games this week.  Barton will host the McPherson College junior varsity on Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. tip then set sights on the upcoming weekend Best Western Angus Inn/Cougar Booster Club Classic.  The Cougars will first play the high flying undefeated Neosho County Community College on Friday then finish up Classic play on Saturday against Independence Community College.  Approximate game times for both Friday and Saturday games is 7:30 p.m.

Raheem Johnson had a big day for the Cougars scoring a career high twenty-five points to go along with thirteen rebounds to record his fifth career double-double.  Darius Gibson also put up a solid eighteen points and Deriece Parks scored ten to round out the Cougar players reaching double-figures.
