Combined one-hitter leads Barton Baseball to 11-0 victory in Salina #GoBarton

Six pitchers combined for a one-hitter Wednesday at Salina's Dean Evans Stadium leading the Barton Community College baseball team to a 11-0 game shortened seven inning victory over the junior varsity of Kansas Wesleyan University.

Logan Phillips set the early tone striking out four in his planned two innings of work, improving to 1-1 on the year, five other pitchers combined for six strikeouts keeping the Coyotes' bats silent.

Alex Rodgers and Ricardo Sanchez led the top of the lineup with a combined five hits and two runs batted in while Jaden Wiley and Henry Hayman anchored the lower card with five hits and two RBIs as well.

Barton improves to 11-6 on the season, getting back to conference action on Friday with a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader at Dodge City Community College. The teams switch locations on Saturday to the Cougars' Lawson-Biggs Field in wrapping up the four-game series with a 1:00 p.m. first pitch twinbill.
