TCU Alumni Invite - March 21-22, 2025
Greetings! The TCU coaching staff is excited to invite you to this year's TCU Alumni Invite. This year's TCU Alumni Invite will be held on Friday, March 21-Saturday, March 22, 2025. We are looking forward to having you in attendance as we look to host a multitude of Junior Colleges, Division I Universities, Division II, Division III, and NAIA programs. The meet will be held at the Lowdon Track Complex on TCU's campus, with the exception of the Hammer Throw and Discus Throw (which will be held at the AP Ranch). The track features a "New" Rekortan surface with 9 lanes 48" in width with all field events within the complex. (¼" pyramid restrictions on spikes).
SCHEDULE
The meet will follow a set time schedule based on the number of participants. A tentative schedule of events with start times is provided below. The final meet schedule will be available Wednesday, March 18, 2025.
ENTRIES
Entries open January 13, 2025. Entries must be received no later than 11:59pm on March 17.
NO EXCEPTIONS. To ensure a timely and efficient competition, meet management reserves the right to make the following adjustments in the conduct of the competition: entry limitations (specifically in the pole vault, hammer and discus), progressive starting heights, minimum measurements. Entries will be done on Direct Athletics. The top 32 student- athletes will compete in the hammer and discus while the top 24 will compete in the pole vault. Only three entries per school per event with the exception of the Pole Vault, Hammer Throw, and Discus Throw.
UNATTACHED ATHLETES – LIMITED AMOUNT
Head coaches from teams that are attending can email Coach Terry Hughes at
terry.hughes@tcu.edu if you have an athlete needing to compete. No other entries will be taken.
QUALIFYING PROCEDURES
*Runners will be placed in heats according to seed times. (Use only verified TFRRS times. Freshmen can use speculative times)
*Field Events - nine advance to finals. There will be a minimum mark that has to be achieved after the first legal mark. If that mark is not met then it will not be measured.
ENTRY FEE
An entry fee of $750 per gender team will be charged. Unattached athletes are $60.
SPECIAL MEET RULES
No radios or portable stereos will be allowed in the Lowden Track Complex. Please remind your athletes of this policy. (iPod-type devices are allowed as long as one ear is open.
Coaches are asked to remain off of the track and infield. A coaching area will be provided for field events.
No umbrellas, tents, or tarps are allowed in the stands. Team tents should be placed in the grass area on the west side of the track.
WARM-UP AREA
Warm-up will be allowed in the grass area to the north and west of the track as well on the backstretch of the track when races permit. Hurdles will be made available in these areas. The track will be open for approximately 45 minutes prior to the meet for relay warm-ups, etc.
ATHLETE CHECK-IN
Running event athletes must check-in thirty minutes prior to their scheduled event at the clerking area located at the northwest corner of the track. Field event athletes must check-in thirty minutes prior to the start of their event at the event site.
DRESSING AREA
None available.
TRAINING AREA
Trainers should set up on the west side of the track in the designated area.
IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN
College athletes please weigh implement at a minimum 1 hour prior to event.
