For the second time of the conference season the Barton Community College volleyball team made short work of Dodge City Community College, winning in three sets Monday night in Dodge City 25-19, 25-18, and 25-18.

The victory moves the Cougars into a third place tie in the Jayhawk West at 6-2 and 13-10 while Dodge City drops to 1-9 and 4-18 overall.

Barton's next action will be this weekend in hosting the Barton Classic as four other teams come to the Barton Gym for a ten match weekend. Action begins at 10:00 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday with free admission to all five matches each day.

On Friday the Cougars will play Labette Community College in the 2:00 p.m. contest with its second match coming at 6:00 p.m. against the nation's 3rd ranked Reivers of Iowa Western Community College. The Cougars' final two matches on Saturday will be at noon against Cloud County Community College before winding up the Classic with a 6:00 p.m. approximate first serve against Southeast Community College.
