Treneese Hamilton of the 8th ranked Barton Community College women's track and field team has been named the week four Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

After winning the national indoor shot put title in early March on the way to being named the Field Athlete of the Year, Hamilton made her outdoor debut in the event this past weekend at the Crimson Tide Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama.

Marking a 13.98m (45-10.50) to place 7th against the top tiered NCAA Division I field, the sophomore's throw currently is tied for the NJCAA's best mark of the current outdoor season.

Hamilton and both the men and women's teams will be competing this weekend in Wichita at the KT Woodman Classic. Action at Cessna Stadium begins on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with Saturday's beginning at 11:00 a.m. for day two throwing events with a 1:00 p.m. start for running events.

The award is the second straight week for the Cougars in following Cedricka Williams' record breaking performance in week three.
